About Memory Match
Memory Match is a classic concentration game. All cards start face down. On each turn you flip two cards. If they show the same picture, they stay face up. If not, they flip back over after a moment, and you have to remember where each picture was.
The game counts how many pairs of cards you turn over (your moves) and how long you take. It’s a relaxing game you can play in a couple of minutes, and a great way to exercise short-term memory for players of all ages.
How to play
- Choose a level: Easy has 12 cards, Normal has 16 and Hard has 24.
- Click or tap a card to flip it, then flip a second card.
- If the two pictures match, the pair stays open. If not, both cards turn back over.
- Keep going until every pair is found. Your moves and time are shown when you finish.
Tips and strategy
- Work systematically. Flip unknown cards in order, row by row, so you can remember positions more easily.
- Say the pictures out loud in your head with their position, like “fox, top left”. Linking an image to a place helps memory.
- When the first card you flip matches one you’ve already seen, go straight for the match instead of exploring.
- If your first card is new, use your second flip on another unknown card to learn more — unless you already know where its pair is.
- A perfect game takes exactly as many moves as there are pairs, but only with lucky flips. A good target on Normal is under 14 moves.
